Privacy policy for the public web experience.

This page explains how Idea Battles handles data on its public website and shared battle pages.

Last updatedApril 8, 2026

Scope

This policy applies to the public website, ranking pages, battle previews, and shared links published from Idea Battles. The mobile app may involve additional product flows and should be documented separately when needed.

What we collect

We may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referral source, approximate location derived from network data, and interactions with public pages. When a battle is shared publicly, visible battle metadata and public profile information can also appear on the web surface.

How we use data

We use this information to render public pages, measure traffic, protect the service from abuse, improve link previews, understand engagement with shared battles, and maintain platform reliability.

How data may be shared

We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, hosting, and content delivery providers that help operate the service. Public battle pages can also expose information intentionally made public by users inside the product.

Retention

We keep operational and analytics data only for as long as needed to run, secure, and improve the service, unless a longer period is required for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction regarding personal data. You can also limit certain browser-level tracking through your browser settings or privacy tools.

Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact the Idea Battles team through the support channel associated with the product or the company contact listed in the app distribution page.
